Alicia G. Ward, Marketing Manager for one of the nations largest plaintiffs law firms, Motley Rice LLC, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the Childrens Museum of the Lowcountry. She will help the museum achieve its mission and strategic goals by actively participating in board meetings, assisting the museum with its development and growth efforts and participating in staff and volunteer support. Ward will also serve on the marketing committee.
Active involvement in our communities is a core value at Motley Rice LLC, stated Joe Rice, Motley Rice co-founding member. I believe Alicias public relations background, various board experiences and desire to offering guidance and assistance will be a great addition to the museum.
Ward also serves on the Board of Directors of the Parent Association of Daniel Island Academy, the marketing committee of the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the South Carolina PRSA. She earned a B.A. in public relations and advertising from the University of South Carolina School of Journalism. Ward is a Leadership Charleston graduate and was one of Charlestons 40 Under 40 Award recipients in 2002. She joined the Motley Rice LLC marketing department in 2004.
